NCGV and The All Things Project

Jesse Peterson is the Minister for Students at NCGV.

Jesse hails from the deep, mosquito-laced woods of Duluth, Minnesota. He grew up with a lot of large tractors and trucks around. He never learned to drive any of them, except the lawn mower. Instead, he practiced his drums a lot, and was especially excited about the red pearl double-bass kit he got in the summer after 8th grade.

Jesse studied music (percussion) as well as classical Hebrew and Greek in college, and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2004. After sensing a call toward ministry, he then attended The Bethlehem Institute in Minneapolis for two years and learned that it's all about the arc. After that he attended Gordon-Conwell Theology Seminary (outside Boston) for two years, and graduated in May 2009 and they gave him an extremely over-sized piece of paper that says "Masters of Divinity" on it.

Jesse is excited as he begins to work with college students in the Village through the college ministry at Neighborhood Church at Greenwich Village.

Jesse also plays drums in the duo rock band Hermeneutics, who recently released their first album (www.hermeneuticsmusic.com). He is currently overseeing/booking the music concerts that are part of the All Things Project at NCGV.

Jesse may be contacted at jpeter34@gmail.com.
